Quick answer
Make sure you're on an up-to-date Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, then clear your cache and cookies and reload. Still slow? Open Property Tree in a private / incognito window — if it behaves there, a browser extension is the culprit. If nobody in the office can load it, check the MRI Software status page before troubleshooting further.
WHY IT HAPPENS
It's usually the browser, not the software.
Property Tree is a cloud application that lives entirely in your web browser, so almost everything about how fast and reliably it runs depends on that browser and your connection. An old or unsupported browser version, a cache full of stale files, a rogue ad-blocker or privacy extension, or a shaky internet link will all make it feel broken. The steps below rule those out one at a time — and if it turns out to be an MRI-side outage, you'll know that quickly too.
THE FIX
Work through these in order.
- Use a supported, up-to-date browserMRI builds Property Tree for the current versions of Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox and Safari. Update your browser to the latest version and restart it. Internet Explorer and very old builds simply aren't supported and will misbehave.
- Clear your cache and cookiesA stale cache is the single most common cause of slow loading and half-drawn pages. In your browser settings, clear cached images and files and cookies for the last few days (or all time), then close and reopen the browser and sign back in.
- Test in a private / incognito windowOpen a new Incognito (Chrome/Edge) or Private (Firefox/Safari) window and sign in. These windows run without extensions and without your old cache — if Property Tree is fast here, the problem is an extension or cached data in your normal window.
- Disable browser extensionsAd-blockers, VPNs, PDF tools and privacy/script-blocking extensions can interfere with Property Tree. Turn them off (or whitelist Property Tree), then reload. Re-enable them one at a time to find the offender.
- Check your internet connectionLoad a couple of other websites to confirm the connection is healthy. If your Wi-Fi is weak or the line is congested, Property Tree will feel slow. A wired connection or moving closer to the access point often helps.
- Check the MRI / Property Tree status pageIf the whole office is affected at once, it may be a service issue on MRI's side, not yours. Check MRI Software's official status page (or their support channels) to see whether Property Tree is experiencing a known outage before you keep troubleshooting individual PCs.
- Sign out and back inFully sign out of Property Tree, close the browser completely, reopen it and sign in fresh. This clears a stalled session that a simple refresh won't. Restarting the whole PC is a good final step if it's still sluggish.
If it's slow for everyone, every day — the cause is usually bigger than one browser. Under-powered PCs, an overloaded office internet connection, or the wrong network setup will make every cloud app feel heavy, not just Property Tree. That's the point to have your IT provider look at the whole environment rather than clearing caches machine by machine.
