How big can your video meetings get?

All plans include Google Meet, but the participant caps and features grow with the tier:

Starter — smaller meetings (around 100 participants), without meeting recording.

Plus — the biggest meetings (around 500 participants) with recording and attendance tracking — useful for all-hands and larger client sessions.

GOOGLE VAULT & COMPLIANCE

Retention, eDiscovery and legal hold.

Google Vault lets you retain, search, export and place a legal hold on email and files — important for legal, finance, and any business with record-keeping obligations. It is not included in Starter. It's available on Standard and Plus. If you're bound by professional record-keeping rules (for example law firms or accountants), Vault is often the deciding factor.

SECURITY & ADMIN CONTROLS

How much control your admins get.

Every plan includes core protections like two-step verification and the admin console. The higher tiers add more:

Standard adds stronger endpoint and security management than Starter, plus the compliance tools that come with Vault.
Plus adds the most advanced controls — enhanced endpoint management, more granular security and data-protection settings, and longer session/access controls — suited to businesses that need to lock things down tightly.

Note that all three Business plans are generally capped at up to 300 users; larger organisations move to Enterprise plans, which are quoted directly by Google.
