Quick answer
In the Studio panel, click Sync Now to push and pull the latest markups. If nothing moves, confirm your internet works and that you're signed into the correct Studio server (US or EU) — the same one the Session was created in. Still stuck? Leave the Session and rejoin it. If it's affecting everyone, check Bluebeam's status page for a Studio outage.
WHY IT HAPPENS
Studio syncs through the cloud.
A Studio Session isn't peer-to-peer — everyone's markups travel up to Bluebeam's Studio servers and back down to each participant. So when a Session won't sync, the break is nearly always in that path: a firewall or proxy blocking Studio, a flaky internet connection, or you being signed into the wrong Studio region (US vs EU) to the one hosting the Session. Very large markups can also take a while to move. Work through the checks below.
THE FIX
Work through these in order.
- Check your internet connectionOpen a website in your browser. If pages don't load, Studio can't reach the servers — sort the connection or Wi-Fi first. A stable, decent-bandwidth link matters when syncing big drawing sets.
- Click Sync NowIn the Studio panel, use Sync Now to force Revu to send your markups and pull everyone else's. Give it a moment on large files. This resolves most "my changes aren't showing" cases on its own.
- Confirm you're on the correct Studio serverBluebeam runs separate US and EU Studio servers, and a Session lives on only one of them. In the Studio panel, sign in to the same region and account the Session was created in — if you're on the other server, you simply won't see or sync the Session.
- Sign out and back into StudioStill not syncing? Sign out of your Bluebeam / Studio account in the Studio panel and sign back in. This refreshes an expired or half-connected session and often restores syncing straight away.
- Leave the Session and rejoinLeave the Studio Session, then rejoin using the Session ID or your invite. Rejoining rebuilds the connection to the server cleanly. Your markups are stored in the Session, so you won't lose work by leaving.
- Check the firewall / proxy to StudioOn business networks, a firewall or proxy can quietly block Bluebeam's Studio traffic. If one person on another network can sync and someone in the office can't, ask IT to allow Bluebeam Studio through the firewall and disable proxy re-authentication for it.
- Check Bluebeam's status pageIf nobody can sync, it may be a Studio-side outage rather than anything on your machines. Check Bluebeam's official status page for Studio incidents before troubleshooting each PC.
- Watch out for very large markupsHuge images, stamps or hundreds of markups added at once take longer to sync and can appear "stuck". Give it time, and where possible flatten or reduce oversized markups so the Session stays responsive.
If syncing fails across the whole office — but works from home or on mobile data — the culprit is almost always the network: a firewall rule, web filter or proxy blocking Bluebeam Studio. That's a configuration fix on your side, and one your IT provider can make permanent so it doesn't keep tripping up live markup sessions.
